RDSUA is needing Umpires for the 2018 Season!
It's that time of year again. The Red Deer Softball Umpires Association (RDSUA) is looking to recruit new and aspiring softball umpires for the 2018 season.
The goal of the RDSUA is to provide umpires for every game that your team plays. Last year was our most successful ever in terms of recruitment, with more than 40 first year officials, and more than 80 members overall. And we needed every one of those umpires, as the number of teams and associations in Zone 4 increased dramatically. We expect this year to be even busier, which means we need your help in finding new officials, so that the RDSUA can do its best to ensure that we have officials for every game played by the teams that we work with in Zone 4 for league and tournament play.
This year, they are offering two clinic opportunities. They will have their traditional two-day clinic in Red Deer, on Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15. As well, as they see the growth in the eastern section of Zone 4, they are looking to get more umpires certified by offering a clinic in Castor on Sunday, May 6. Registration fee for a new umpire is $105, which includes the clinic, registration with the RDSUA and Softball Canada, insurance, manual and rule book.

Attached to this email is a poster advertising the clinics. Please forward to anyone who might be interested.
They need anyone who is interested in umpiring to contact them, the RDSUA, to pre-register, so that they can have sufficient clinic materials for everyone. Also, they will send out a letter of welcome, which answers a lot of the questions a prospective umpire may have.
